PyNifly is a Blender plugin that adds NIF file format support.

I started using the plugin in late 2025, and ever since then, it has become my main tool for importing, editing and exporting NIF files. It allows me to do all the work in Blender , my main modelling tool, and it has replaced 3ds Max in my mod-making pipeline.

PyNifly is in active development and continuously receives bug fixes and new features. It is open-source, the code is hosted on GitHub .
